KLH Engineers (KLH) and Messer Construction have teamed up to launch Bluegrass BIM, a building information modeling (BIM) user group in Lexington, Kentucky. The inaugural meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. at Barrel House.

Brian Bruggeman, Chief Client Officer of KLH, organized the event in collaboration with Mary Beth Wright, Business Development Executive of Messer Construction.

“When Mary Beth and I spoke about the BIM collaboration between Messer and KLH, we both realized the need to form a BIM user group for the Central Kentucky AEC community. Both firms participate in similar groups throughout the region and we know the benefit this level of thought leadership can bring to the industry,” says Bruggeman.

Several leading architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry experts are slated to speak at the event including Andy Burg, Operations Technology Solutions Vice President at Messer; Chad Gallas, AIA, LEED AP BD&C, Senior Associate at Omni Architects; Hala Nassereddine, PhD, Assistant Professor in Construction Engineering and Project Management at the University of Kentucky College of Engineering; and Jim Tavernelli, PE, LEED AP, MBA, President and COO of KLH Engineers.

Bluegrass BIM is for anyone interested in learning the latest trends, workflows and technologies in BIM. Architects, engineers, contractors, building owners and students at all levels are encouraged to attend. Participants will help drive a collaborative exchange of ideas, innovation and enhanced levels of BIM in the Bluegrass market and beyond.
