Rambler Columbus
Rambler Columbus is a $138 million, 407,465-square-foot, seven-story luxury off-campus student apartment complex at 222 W. Lane Ave., situated directly across from The Ohio State University. The building offers 889 beds across 379 units, with floor plans ranging from six-bedroom units and two-level townhomes — a significant addition to a Columbus market where off-campus student housing demand has consistently outpaced supply.
Amenities are distributed across multiple floors of the mixed-use development to serve residents’ academic, social and wellness needs. The ground-level lobby houses the Daydreamer Cafe and leasing office, while the second-floor mezzanine provides private study rooms and conference spaces. The third floor features a fitness center, pet spa, pool deck with two spas, firepits, a Jumbotron, grilling area, and four courtyard gathering spaces. The rooftop level includes an expansive deck with views of the OSU campus, a sauna and a yoga studio. A 426-car garage serves the building with one below-grade and two above-grade parking levels.
KLH Engineers served as Engineer of Record for electrical engineering, providing lighting control design; base lighting for typical residential units; corridor, back-of-house, and garage lighting; exterior lighting circuiting and controls; power distribution and branch circuiting; emergency and standby power systems; and a new electrical fire pump system.
