The Christ Hospital Urgent Care Prototype

The growing demand for accessible, on-demand healthcare called for a model that could deliver efficient, no-wait care within a compact, repeatable footprint. This project established a prototype urgent care facility for The Christ Hospital, designed to support fast, reliable patient service.

The 2,500-square-foot Green Township location was developed as a scalable model for future sites, requiring adaptable and well-coordinated building systems. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems were integrated to support clinical operations and patient comfort, including rooftop and split-system HVAC, power and lighting distribution, and infrastructure for key medical and support spaces.

KLH Engineers provided full MEP and fire protection design, along with construction administration services. Through close coordination with the owner and design team, KLH delivered permit-ready documents and supported the project through construction. The result is an efficient, flexible prototype that supports consistent, high-quality urgent care delivery across future locations.
