Bob Heil Featured on The Unconventional Leadership Podcast
Bob Heil, PE, executive director of strategic relationships and community engagement at Kohrs Lonnemann Heil Engineers, Inc. (KLH Engineers), was recently featured on “The Unconventional Leadership Podcast” in a conversation with Mike Sipple, Jr., CEO of Centennial & Talent Magnet Institute.
In the episode “If Not You, Then Who? The Leadership Question Most People Avoid,” Heil and Sipple discuss the impact of unconventional leadership by challenging long-standing norms in business, education and government. They also explore how meaningful “hand on the shoulder” mentorship moments can shape careers and how embracing “creative tension” fuels innovation.
“When I think back, just about every opportunity I took advantage of to be in a leadership position started with someone putting their hand on my shoulder,” said Heil. “It’s a real responsibility for us to identify who those leaders of the future are.”
Heil has a longstanding commitment to civic leadership across Northern Kentucky. He serves as the Executive Director of LaunchNKY Center for Civic Leadership, and is a past board chair of BE NKY, NKY Chamber of Commerce, OneNKY Alliance, amongst others.
Watch the podcast to learn Heil’s insights on leadership, legacy and why he has no plans to retire.
