James Tavernelli Named Vistage Impact Award Winner

Vistage, the world’s leading executive coaching organization for small and midsize businesses, recognized James Tavernelli, PE, LEED AP, MBA, President and COO of KLH Engineers (KLH), with the Impact Award at the Cincinnati Vistage Executive Summit on July 16, 2019. The award recognizes remarkable development and achievements in executives with between one and five years’ tenure at Vistage.

Rich Bova, Vistage member and Vice President of School Outfitters, nominated Tavernelli for the award.

“Jim always has a takeaway from our check-ins, general discussions and speakers. But more importantly, he shares insights from his personal journey that helps other members,” said Bova.

Tavernelli’s journey at KLH started in 2001 as a project electrical engineer. Now he is leading the firm’s reinvention through his innovation-centric technical strategy. Driving this approach from a top-down commitment, to data-driven design through Revit, to a bottom-up execution strategy with all levels of the organization participating, he is shaping the firm’s future.

Tavernelli expressed appreciation for the recognition.
