Alex Jonovski Presenting at BILT NA

07.05.19

Alex Jonovski, PE, Principal and Director of Project Management at KLH Engineers (KLH), will be co-presenting with Heather Worrell, Director of BIM at RATIO Architects, at the Digital Built Environment Institute (DBEI) BILT North America (NA) on July 18-20, 2019, in Seattle, Washington. BILT NA is an annual conference for those who design, build, operate and maintain the built environment.

Jonovski and Worrell’s class, “Architecture and MEP on Multifamily/Hospitality and Groups,” will be held on July 20 from 1:00 – 2:15 p.m. They will share how KLH and RATIO developed strategies to better communicate locations for elements in a model group environment and manage changes more efficiently.

When working in the multifamily, hospitality, and even healthcare sectors, having repetitive elements that work consistently from schematic design to construction administration is imperative for architects. Frequently, they need to make changes across multiple rooms during construction documentation that ultimately impacts the MEP consultant’s model. Impacts can occur across hundreds of rooms, leaving the MEP consultant to review the placement of many elements during each model exchange. KLH has developed innovative tools that allow its engineers to work more efficiently in this type of project environment.

The class will include a demo of the tools as well as case studies. More information can be found here.
