COVID-19: A Call to Action

03.20.20

KLH Engineers has joined numerous businesses throughout the United States and beyond that has adjusted its work procedures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We are following the advice of our local, state and federal leadership to help prevent the spread of the virus. We empathize with so many of you as our normal way of life has been altered in this temporary moment in time.

KLH’s response to COVID-19 is a call to action to protect the health of three core areas that should mean the most to all of us.

1. Protect the health of your people, clients and partners.

People are everything, including our staff, clients and partners. Our employees are the backbone of our firm and are serving clients in the comfort of their homes, surrounded by family and loved ones. Our remote working protects the health of our employees, their families and the many clients we serve. We are checking in on you and thinking of your safety as well.

2. Our communities need our support to remain healthy and strong.

We recently made a financial commitment to the Campbell County YMCA in collaboration with other Northern Kentucky businesses to establish a childcare center for St. Elizabeth Healthcare professionals. This is one small gesture of support that is needed tenfold in communities throughout the country. We have notified our healthcare clients that we are there to aid in any adjustments they need to make to fulfill the high capacity of patients anticipated. We ask all of you to find a way to engage your community, offer your resources to help those on the front lines combatting COVID-19.

3. We must preserve and advance the health of our economy in these uncertain times.

COVID-19 is having an immediate impact on businesses of all kinds and personal well-being. We must remain calm and mutually advance our economy. Many in the AEC industry, and professional services alike, are blessed with the ability to work remotely using new technologies. Many industries are not afforded this opportunity. We must advance our current and future projects with responsibility so we can support other small businesses. If you know businesses outside of your industry seeking advice in sustaining their well-being during this time, please offer your thought leadership.

We will emerge stronger for the challenges of today by protecting the health of our people, community and industry. Please stand alongside us in this effort and provide assistance to each other.
