Patrick Eldridge, Lead Mechanical Engineering Associate and Software Engineer at Kohrs Lonnemann Heil Engineers, Inc. (KLH Engineers), will present at Autodesk University 2020. This virtual conference will feature more than 750 new classes led by industry professionals and Autodesk experts beginning November 17. More than 350 live Q&As will support these classes beginning on November 18, in addition to live panels, roundtables and meetups.

Eldridge’s session, “Automating MEP Element Placement Using Machine Learning in Revit,” will showcase how KLH Engineers is applying artificial intelligence to solve challenging problems in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. The class is a case study on applying machine learning to the problem of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) element placement based on building information modeling (BIM) data provided by other consultants. Attendees will discover how KLH applied a machine-learning algorithm to classify BIM objects in a room.
