KLH Engineers Takes the Virtual Stage at Autodesk University 2021
For the third consecutive year, Kohrs Lonnemann Heil Engineers, Inc. (KLH Engineers) will present at Autodesk University (AU) in two industry talks. The free digital conference takes place Oct. 5 – 7, 2021, in the Americas and features over 350 classes led by industry experts who are progressing architecture, engineering, construction, design, manufacturing, and media and entertainment.
First, Cody Richardson, lead electrical engineering associate at KLH Engineers, will present “Using Revit as a Single Source of Truth for MEP Engineering and Install” on Wednesday, Oct. 6 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Richardson will demonstrate how using a Revit model as a single source of information for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design, installation detailing, and fabrication data can reduce rework, increase accuracy of the model, and improve workflow efficiency of the entire design process.
The second industry talk, “Maximizing Data and Strategic Partnerships to Drive Prefabrication,” will be held on Thursday, Oct. 7 from 11:00 a.m. – noon. In this session, KLH Engineers and its industry partners will explore the advantages of developing strategic partnerships centered around maximizing data with likeminded organizations within the construction industry. It will also reveal how custom software development within the Revit API can streamline data flow and solve age-old industry frustrations. Speakers from KLH Engineers include Jim Tavernelli, president and COO; Brandon Johnson, director of electrical engineering; Kevin Eldridge, lead mechanical engineer; and Mark Hans, lead technology designer. Additional co-speakers include Spencer Murphy, engineering group manager at Rex Moore Group, Inc.; Chris Hronek, fabrication database manager at Tweet/Garot Mechanical, Inc.; and Adam Perales, business development manager at Construction Innovations.
