Jefferson Community and Technical College

The Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) is the largest of 16 colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). JCTC previously occupied a 100-year-old department store building before moving into the new 30-acre educational hub. The college enrolls around 1,500 students each semester.

The new 49,000-square-foot academic facility includes adult education classrooms, administrative offices, flexible-use spaces, technical laboratories and common areas. KLH provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and communication technology design, as well as fire head layout and construction administration services. The firm’s technology design scope included all data networks, telephone, audio visual, video and TV distribution, surveillance video, access control and intrusion alarm systems.
