UK HealthCare Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pediatric Critical Care Unit

KLH assisted University of Kentucky (UK) HealthCare Kentucky Children’s Hospital in renovating the Pediatric Critical Care Unit located in Pavilion HA of UK Chandler Hospital. Existing condition surveys were performed around patient room occupancy during regular working hours. The building program included renovating the existing space to provide modern amenities for patients, the public, physicians and nurses. The scope of the project included new custom graphic interior lighting systems, emergency and life safety systems, fire alarm device layout and revisions to both domestic water equipment and distribution and HVAC equipment and distribution systems. The project was executed in multiple phases and required significant coordination for its successful completion. It was funded through private donations.
