The Banks Phase 1A

With 100,000 square feet of ground-level retail plus 300 apartments above, this riverfront project in downtown Cincinnati is a multi-phase, mixed-use commercial and residential neighborhood. KLH’s scope for Phase 1A of the development included all 300 rental dwelling units, 60,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and a 128,000-square-foot garage.

KLH provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering as well as fire protection and lighting design for the 2.6 acre complex. The firm was responsible for the selection of lighting for the lobbies, corridors and individual residential units, as well as the exterior lighting. A lighting power study was performed to ensure the project followed LEED compliance.

The project received LEED for Homes Multi Family Mid-Rise certification at the Silver level.
